Oct 13, 2020 Circuit Breaker Tripping on the Motor 286103 and poor performance |
Hi, I spoke to you about my 1400 series B grease gun.
Here is a description of what is going on with it. When I am on the high side the grease gun pumps slow and only 3-4 pumps then it trips the circuit breaker I appreciate your help with this. Thanks |
Hi Bill, Sounds like a classic case of a blockage. My suggestion would be to remove the hose and rerun the test. If the gun runs normally, clean out the gun head, ball check and outlet passage, and reinstall the hose, but with the coupler removed. Prime the unit and run again. If unit runs normally, clean out or replace the coupler. If it trips again with coupler removed, replace the hose. Additionally, check the cartridge or grease for debris. Most issues with grease guns are associated with debris or dried lubricant. Below is a link to a YouTube video I created using an 1162 but it is very relevant to the gentleman’s situation.
